Welcome to 'El Contadero'

The camp in Spain takes place in "El Contadero" - a 370 acre estate at the heart of the Natural Park of the Sierra of Cazorla, Segura and las Villas. These wonderful mountains constitute the biggest area of protected ecosystems on the Iberian Peninsula.

The site includes several buildings and a wide range of multi-adventure facilities. At the main building -Cortijo El Contadero-  we find the main office, dining-rooms, kitchens, laundrette, disco, and First Aid. Nearby, the second building is located - El Albergue. It hosts the dormitories, shower rooms, toilets, classrooms, and workshops.

In a high quality centre like 'El Contadero', safety is our main concern. Activities can be carried out with complete peace of mind using the following top of the range facilities:

  • Two swimming pools
  • Mini golf
  • Football courts
  • Volleyball and basketball courts
  • Stables and horse tracks
  • Two rock-climbing walls (10 metres)
  • Archery court
  • Tree-walking circuit
  • Slides
  • Orienteering circuit
  • Adventure circuit

Welcome to 'La Finca'

Our Spanish Camp in the UK takes place in a very high quality facility with capacity for 60 students sleeping in bunk bedded rooms.

The Main House:

  • 28 bunk bedded spaces in three rooms - Cherry, Honeysuckle and Beech.
  • The bathrooms are opposite the bedrooms apart from Beech that has an ensuite.
  • All these three bedrooms are on the first floor.
  • Teacher / Accommpanying staff rooms are directly above on the 2rd floor which include a twin room (Willow), single room (Hawthorn), bathroom, kitchen and large sitting room (with TV).

The Long House:

The Longhouse was designed with the environment always at the forefront:

  • The design has purposely minimised the amount of concrete used to cover its base for foundations
  • The majority of the heat comes from geo-thermic heating.
  • Double glazed glass has been used.
  • The build incorporated a 27,500 litre rain water storage tank. The water is pumped up to the building to flush all the lavatories. All have half and full flush facility.
  • The south facing side is predominately glass maximising the solar energy effect.

.

The Clubhouse:

  • 32 bunk bedded spaces in five rooms - the Bunkhouse, Cedar, Pine, Walnut and Rowan.
  • These rooms vary in size from the largest (the Bunkhouse) sleeping 12 to Rowan and Walnut sleeping 4 each.
  • The bedrooms are mainly on the first floor with the exception of the Bunkhouse.
  • All outside doors have coded locks fitted.
  • Teacher / Accompanying staff rooms are on the same level as the majority of the rooms and are one twin (Oak) and one single room (Birch) there is also a separate snug area with TV and tea / coffee facilities. Both bedrooms are ensuite. Hot water for showers is solar heated.
